In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

This letter is from the Muslims to the Jews and the Christians. Peace be upon him who follows the right path. We invite you to Islam and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your subjects. And I recite to you Allah's statement:

“O People of the Scriptures! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah).” (Qur’an: Surah 3, Ayah 64)

God says in The Qur’an (the final revelation to all of mankind) what can be translated as:

“All praises and thanks are due to God the Lord of all that exists. The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful. The Only Owner of the Day of Judgement. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask help for everything. Guide us to the straight way. The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your grace. Not the way of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray.” (Chapter Al-Fatiha)

We open with these words because in them contain various treasures and basic beliefs of the Muslims. In this opening chapter (which we as Muslims recite at least 17 times daily in our prayers) contains the fundamental creed of Islam; true monotheism. We believe without a shred of doubt that none has the right to be worshipped EXCEPT God in truth and further, He has no partners, nor associates and He should be worshipped alone, exclusively. As God says,

“O my people! Worship God! You have no other god but Him.” (Qur’an: Surah 7, Ayah 65)

And He says,

“Truly! This religion (Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone).” (Qur’an: Surah 21, Ayah 92)

I harp on this point with great emphasis because God is One and forgives every sin except that you should associate a partner with him as He says,

“Verily, God forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with God in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.” (Qur’an: Surah 4, Ayah 48)

Believing in God alone without partners is the foundation of true faith and with this comes the belief in the prophets and messengers and that which they came down with i.e. revelation. God says,

“Say (O Muslims), "We believe in God and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and to the twelve sons of Jacob, and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)"(Qur’an: Surah 2, Ayah 136)

The Muslims are the only people of true faith that do not reject any of God’s prophets and we believe that they all spoke the truth which is from God and came with the same message. As God says,

“And verily, We have sent among every Nation a Messenger proclaiming: "Worship God (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship anything besides
God."“ (Qur’an: Surah 16, Ayah 36)

And He says,

“And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad) but We inspired him (saying): none has the right to be worshipped but God, so worship Me (Alone and none else)." (Qur’an: Surah 21, Ayah 25)

We also believe in the final messenger and seal of the prophets, Muhammad (may God exalt his position and send His peace upon him) as God says,

“Muhammad (may Allaah exalt his position and send His peace upon him) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of God and the last (end) of the Prophets. And God is Ever All-Aware of everything.” (Qur’an: Surah 33, Ayah 40)

We believe that he came to purify the way of the people and their beliefs with truth as God says,

“O mankind! Verily, there has come to you the Messenger (Muhammad) with the truth from your Lord, so believe in him, it is better for you. But if you disbelieve, then certainly to God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. And God is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.” (Qur’an: Surah 4, Ayah 140)

This is necessary due to what God says about those people of the scripture who have changed their religion and lied.

“O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): "Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?" (Qur’an: Surah 3, Ayah 71)

Not only do they change their religion but also they lie on The Creator and the Prophets when they say Jesus the son of Mary the prophet and messenger is The God or a part of Him. And regarding this God says,

“And (remember) when God will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides God?' "He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden and unseen.”
(Qur’an: Surah 5, Ayah 116)

We as believers in The True religion are certain that our Book will never be changed as God says,

“Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Qur'an and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).” (Qur’an: Surah 15, Ayah 9)

It is also crucial to understand that Islam is the only religion that will be accepted by the The Lord of the Worlds as He says,

“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.(Qur’an: Surah 3, Ayah 85)

So, we warn and call you away from falsehood and invite you to be a true monotheist for that is better for you.And make no mistake, the truth is with Islam and anything other than it is false. We urge you to consider this admonishment with the utmost care and sincerity and to look further into Islam, read the Qur’an, the final Book of God, and know that if you reject this message after it has been conveyed to you then an argument will have been established against you on the Day of Judgment.

Sincerely,

Masjidul Ghurabaa
